On Friday we walked to Barry Ridings to undertake  'Big Art'. We used clothing and materials to create a variety of animals. We think we did an amazing job!

Electricity!!

This week we visited Pontypridd Museum to take part in a hands on activity session.  It was all to do with electricity and how it affects and helps us. The activities included static electricity, plasma ball, Jacobs ladder as well as making frogs legs move!
We had a fantastic time and learnt a lot!

Poppies!!!

Today we made some ceramic poppies! These wonderful flowers will be part of a display that will be laid in the grounds of Ynysangharad War Memorial park creating a walk of remembrance in commemoration of our armed forces past and present. We had a fabulous time manipulating the clay, rolling it out, cutting around a template, blending pieces together and shaping our flowers. We look forward to finishing them off with colours and glazes in a couple of weeks.

Our Trip to Swansea

A great day in Swansea for years 5 and 6 experiencing and learning about life in WW1. The 'White Feather' play was an experience they'll never forget!

Rugby Festival

Over forty pupils from Years 5&6 were invited to play in a rugby festival, organised by Cardiff Blues at Cardiff Arms Park.  The weather was very warm but our teams played with energy and worked well together.  It was exciting for the pupils to play at a famous rugby ground, plus Alex Cuthbert turned up to have photographs with the pupils.  A good day enjoyed by all!
