Manor Park

Year 6 went on a residential trip to Manor Park. They were very excited to find out the sort of activities they would be doing. When the children arrived they were shown their rooms and put into groups. The activities started within a short time after. The activities the children undertook were abseiling, blind trails, zipwire, rafting, obstacle course, fencing, team building, archery and rifles to name but a few. They were woken at 7.30 each morning and the first activity took place at 9.00. They had fun filled days and were tired at the end of them. Take a look at the photos.

We have been cooking!

Yesterday Richard Shaw from Cooking Together taught us very important knife skills, how we should hold knives, the correct way to hold food for cutting and the importance of respecting a knife. We made Banana Crumble Bites and Tortilla Toasties. We had a lot of fun and the food tasted fabulous!

Knex workshop

On the day we celebrated World Book Day we took part in a Knex workshop in the Historical Centre in town.  We wore our costurmes to school and then walked through town wearing them. We looked so funny as a class. We had a lot of fun with the Knex making bridges strong enough to hold shopping! Look how fab we look in our costumes.

Basketball Skills

Year 5 and 6 took part in a basketball skills session in readiness for a tournament in two weeks time.  The session was run by Dragon Sports in Hawthorn Leisure Centre and the children had a fabulous time. The skills that they learnt will help them immensely in the tournament.
